Prepare your Apple device for service

Before you bring your device in or send it to iCenter for a service, follow these steps to help protect your personal information and save time on your repair.

Backup Your Data

Backing up your data is one of the best ways to ensure that your device's data remains secure during servicing.

Update Software

Many issues can be resolved by updating the software on your device.

Turn Off Find My Device

For some repairs, you'll need to use your Apple ID password to erase your device and turn off Find My.***

Remove Accessories

Please remove any accessories and cases for a faster and more convenient service.
Also, remember to remove SIM cards if you need to use them during the service.

Step 5

Prepare Your Battery

If your iPhone requires battery-related service, please use the battery until it's at 30% or less when you bring it in for service, if possible.

* Arrive for service before 5:00 PM daily. Service times may vary depending on the previous queue. Please check the service queue status at the branch before arriving.
** We strive to complete service within the same day, but in some cases, complex repairs may take 7-10 business days.
